Carefully scrutinize all email requests for transfers of funds to determine if the request is legitimate. Perform two-step verification by phone and email. When using phone verification, use previously known numbers, not the numbers provided in the email request. When using email verification, hit “forward” instead of “reply” to ensure your response goes to the correct email address.
